We work safely because we want to. At Pyramid Engineering, our fundamental goal is ensuring the safety of people & reliability of structures. Everyone deserves to go home to their families each night. As an RPEQ engineer who works both in the office and on the tools, I am given a key advantage of seeing the world through the perspective of workers and managers alike, and the delicate balancing act in which we all play in our daily roles. The reason for carrying such an array of instrumentation and tooling is to be able to make decisions based on real world numbers. Something that is fundamentally missing in the majority of engineering consultancies. While I always strive to maintain humility, respect and professionalism, this does not mean you will always see me calm and amenable. Simply put, I do not tolerate unsafe acts, or construction practices that do not value the safety of people, or adversely impact the quality or longevity of the finished product. I hope to show you in our interactions that I genuinely care, will turn up day and night, and can can assist you through the grey areas in which a combined Managerial/Engineering approach based on real world numbers is required in order to reach an acceptable outcome. |
